Amadea ColjaI'm Amadea Colja from Nova Gorica. My dog is a border collie named Bora. She'll be two years old on 10 May 2009. We started playing frisbee purely by chance, when Bora was three months old, when we were playing frisbee at the beach and she ran after it like crazy, and if she caught it she brought it back to us, a little the worse for wear. So we bought two frisbees designed for dogs on the internet and Bora began her frisbee career.
After completing puppy school at Ajdovščina Kennel Club we saw a presentation of the activities of the club and learned about dogfrisbee and met the instructor Jean McCollister, whose course we signed up for in January 2008. In April of the same year I attended a seminar in Ajdovščina led by Jakub Štýbr and some of his colleagues from the Czech Republic. April 2008 Vipava - 4fun competition - dogdartbee:
We didn't do very well at the first 4fun competition in Vipava but after continuing to train we went to our first real competition in June 2008. It was in Olomouc, CR, and we finished in second place in the category Young dogs. This success encouraged me to keep training and playing even more. The very next month, in July, we competed at Stromovka Park in Prague and finished in second place there, too.
We kept on training and then in September 2008 we took part in the European Championship in Mnichovice, near Prague, and this time we won in the Young dogs category, to great applause from Slovenian fans and others.
Currently we are training and preparing for the 2009 season. In addition to dogfrisbee we also do agility and sheepherding. We also like to go for long walks.
