Tomaž ŠubicI'm Tomaž Šubic from Škofja Loka. My dog's name is Casper and he's a Parson Russell Terrier. He is a hyperactive little bomb. He was born on 1 March 2007. I bought our first frisbee more or less by chance before he was even a year old - a SofFlite (Hyperflite) disc. Of course we had no idea how to use this plastic wonder. But even so I managed to make a couple of decent throws with it and Casper took off after it like a rocket, caught it, and brought it back. Our delight was indescribable. Then I bought another five frisbees and from that time onwards chasing frisbees has been Casper's greatest joy.
Soon after we went to our first seminar in Ajdovščina in April of 2008, where we really learned what it was all about. Under Jakub's supervision we learned a huge amount, and at the same time I met many new people and became close friends with some of them. After the conclusion of a successful seminar there was a 4fun competition organized in Vipava. We had great results, finishing in 2nd place in minidistance.
Our next competition was in Stromovka Park in Prague. In the Freestyle/Young dogs category we finished in 4th place, which I was very happy about. We also went to the 2008 European Championship near Prague, and competed in Freestyle/Beginners, placing sixth of 26 competitors. Video from the European Championship:
