Urša Kramar

We are Urška Kramar: doctor of medicine and big animal lover and Buci: 4 years old mixbreed adopted at Horjul animal shelter. At the moment we live in Maribor, 2nd biggest city in Slovenija.
I got Buci at the age of 4-5months and immediately introduced different dog toys to him also the famous dog frisbee. But unfortunately he was not interested in it. Nothing, he just ignored it. So I forgot about the idea to teach him chasing the frisbee. But than in 2009 our kannel club (KD Maribor) organized its first dogfrisbee course with Jure Klobučar. And of course we were there. But… Buci still did not like the frisbee. And now how to teach a dog to catch a frisbee if he even does not look at it? I am not a person who gives up easily so I tried with a fabric frisbee, clicked every look at the frisbee, than every running after it, the next step was chasing and catching rollers and finally my little Buci became a real frisbee addict. Did I already mention that basically he is a food addict, so he does almost everything for food (except going into water). So now we could switch from fabric to Hero air and all other kinds of dogfrisbees easily. In 2009 we also became members of ŠD Flipsi looking forward to attending our first competition in 2009 at KD Maribor.

Till now I also made some nice improvements. I am doing my best and try to learn new things improve throwing… Because now Buci is the better one in our team. J But what is the most important I am always trying to keep it fun and safe for Buci.

This year we made our first freestyle routine. Buci was great of course. Usually we compete in minidistance and timetrial. Our best result till now was 3rd place in medley relay in 2010 at KD Maribor together with our friends Jasna and Grom and Aleš and Maxi.
